Continuing Education

California law requires that every volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate complete 12 hours of Continuing Education each year.  This requirement ensures volunteers stay educated and informed on the issues and ever-changing dynamics involved with advocating for children involved with the juvenile dependency system.  While 12 hours may seem like much given the busy and hectic nature of our present day lives, there are numerous ways in which volunteers can complete their hours.

Attending conferences/seminars, reading a book, or watching an educational/informational program must be approved by the Volunteer Coordinator.
